Fluid Eating's Review of Bob Bob Ricard
Bob Bob Ricard, or BBR, is a restaurant and bar over two floors, designed by David Collins (The Wolseley) that opened in late 2008 in Golden Square, Soho.
BBR nurtures a contemporary feel typical of its surrounding neighbourhood whilst celebrating nostalgic glamour in both appearance and detail. The retro-leaning menu, created by Head Chef James Walker (formerly Pont De La Tour) takes many classic British staples and gives them a modern interpretation. Walker’s menu is so expansive that choices range from Grilled Lobster and chips to Kellogg’s Cornflakes – and much in between.
BBR’s inclusive diner style booth seating is offset with lavish extravagance – chandeliers, mirrors, marble – and eccentric touches, including champagne buttons at every table, which, when pressed, summon a champagne trolley. (Updated 05/02/2010)
