Fluid Eating's Review of Meza

Meza is a bar & grill in the heart of trendy Soho, favoured by sexy, media types with a regular programme of top London DJs and entertainment.

Inspiration and creativity are at the heart of the bar offerings, with mixologists offering an extensive range of traditional cocktails with a unique twist falling under headings such as ‘Kitsch’, ‘Herb’ and ‘Strength & Beauty’ as well as bespoke creations tailored specifically to customers’ requests.

For those having trouble deciding on your perfect drink, ‘flights’ of three miniature versions are available such as the Manhattan trio - Sweet, Dry and Perfect . For those that like to share, Meza’s signature Grande Champagne Cocktails such as the Meza Mojito Royale (£85) serve a group of up to 8 people and contain generous quantities of all the classic Mojito ingredients, presented in an oversized glass which arrives at the table with a bottle of unopened Champagne.

The menu has a sharing focus and is centred around tasty mouthfuls of Mediterranean tapas. As with the cocktails, all dishes are made freshly to order using only the finest authentic ingredients.

The interior is seductive and informal. Cool shades and clean lines create a, lounge-style feel. Dressed in contemporary Mediterranean style; our sofas are upholstered in a palette of purple and magenta to complement the turquoise banquettes. The space is divided into segments with a combination of sliding fabric screens and fixed glass screens with patterned graphics for those seeking an intimate evening.

Music is an integral part of Meza. Friday nights feature Turn You Loose resident DJs Adrian Fillary and Jools Butterfield (Lovebox All Stars) plus special guests...Expect the best in house music, boogie, disco influenced beats, funk and soul. Saturdays welcome the night Behaviour, featuring the UK's finest in house music from legendary champions to the latest pioneers, producers and labels. The night focuses on spinning the classics to the latest releases, with an undercurrent touch of electro. (Updated 12/11/2009)

Customer Reviews for Meza

Write a review of Meza

“I first saw Meza when we were on our way to their sister restaurant Floridita, and since we'd had such a good night there resolved to try it as soon as I could, and I'm so glad I made the effort. It was fantastic! The atmosphere was phenomenal. We had some seating reserved for us and had been just planning to drink, but were too tempted by the bar snacks menu, and were soon tucking into light bites and tapas. Very reasonably priced, especially considering it is located right in the heart of Soho. I would not hesitate to recommend this bar to anyone.” Rating: Mrs Jacqueline Kennedy, New York (12 Mar 2011)

“What a fantastic venue. Great music, great food, great atmosphere. Flatbreads were fantastic. Cocktails were sharp and refreshing, music was lively and interesting. staff friendly and helpful.” Rating: Barry Tonkinson, bristol (09 Mar 2010)

“Mezza = amazing cocktails, great atmosphere, and gorgeous tapas! And this was even on a mundane Tuesday evening! Loved it!” Rating: Clare, London (17 Jun 2009)
