I had my first meal at McQueen last Saturday and I have to say that I was nicely surprised. Previously I haven't had good experiences with restaurants that are attached to bar and/or clubs, so my expectations were not very high. But boy I was wrong. The Restaurant is such a cool and atmospheric room, a little oasis away from the buzzy bar next door. As we came in we were greeted by our lovely waitress who served us with so much grace and attention.
For starters we had the Maryland crab cake which was just delicious. Fresh, crispy and just enough to wet our appetites. For main course I chose the rib eye stake, which was cooked to perfection. My date had baked wild sea bass served with crushed parsnips. A simple dish and yet so tasty and memorable. By the end of our meal we were quite full to have dessert but finished the evening with some dessert wine recommended by our lovely waitress. (21/02/12)

Doukan looks and tastes amazing! Khalil and Isabelle the owners are the best hosts you can imagine and make everyone feel very welcome. Attention to details and authenticity are their forte! The food is varied and delicious and the service very professional.

Amazing! This is like a cool jazz club out of a movie or something. The club is absolutely beautiful and the music was great! However the food lets the place down - my "gourmet burger" turned out to be the very cheapest burger you would get from a burger van and the chips were soggy - for £15! The wine was a bit iffy too. The atmosphere was so awesome though I will be going again. (19/02/12)

I have lived almost next door to this pub for the last 11 years and my partner for the last 38 years. We come here almost every day but we are becoming more and more reluctant to come here. It is so cold here tonight I went home to get the thermometer. it is presently 16%C and here we are gloves and scarves . I believe the heating has been broken for the last 3 days, however it really seems to be little warmer when the heating is allegedly on.
I have to say that the staff are the reason we still come here. I suggest you lose some of the higher window area with blinds or whatever and get the heating fixed. Cheers! (12/02/12)
